Wow! It was so cold today, and I really did not want to get out of bed. I’m not alone in that, but thank goodness I did get up and head to the gym.
Today I did my cardio first then the workout on the left(unless your reading on a mobile device then it’s at the top).
I can tell you it’s a lot more challenging than it looks on paper. It felt good and I was glad to get it done. I’ve finally learned to do my stretches during my warm up so I don’t end up hurting. I stretch after as well. It makes a big difference. I’ve learned so much from my test results(no I’m not sick). I think I mentioned earlier in a ‘Journey’ post, I’ll share later this month more specifics but I feel like I invested in something that’s paying off. I have to fight to stay healthy but I intended to keep fighting.
Recently, I learned of an awesome physical therapist so when I think something is out of whack she’s my go-to, and she makes a big difference. I mean the older we get, the more we also need to remember to love our bodies and nurture them not just torture them. I’m working on that I promise.
The picture above is an old Instagram post, but it shows how I like to feel after a workout. Like you left it all on the field as my old coaches would say.
Anyway, When I got home, I was super hungry, so I made one of my favorites ‘Neile Chicken Soup’ and quickly ate a bowl.
I also Made a protein shake then jumped in the shower for work. I think I do so much better when I work out, but my body is sore tonight already which means tomorrow could be tough. Got my soup with some avocado, diced white onion, and cilantro plus another protein shake and had a little dinner at my desk. I’m all set.
