It’s a Sunday. I’m a Bonus mom and that means I’ve only got my kiddos until about 4:30 when they go back to their other home with their mom. So between activities, church, and chores, I needed to come up with something fun and easy. I found this recipe on Pinterest here.

I took a few liberties with this recipe. I used one can of buscu9its and one can pizza bread. I loved the variety in the bread when it cooked and the kids did too. I also tried to make it a little healthier so I used turkey pepperoni instead of regular pepperoni.  I kinda slipped that one by the kiddos but they didn’t seem to mind when they inhaled it when we were done. I actually had them come to the kitchen to help me with this one because it was so fun and easy. They are 13 and 10 so sometimes it can be hard to find something they both like.  But this was a hit.

  • 1 Bunt pan

    1 Can of pizza dough

    1 Can of biscuit dough

    2 cups Mozzarella cheese

2 tablespoons Italian seasoning (I like McCormick Perfect Pinch Italian Seasoning)

    ⅓ cup olive oil

One  8 oz package of turkey pepperoni

    1 cup Parmesan cheese

We started by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. While it was working up to the right temperature I opened the bread cans and cut them into smaller pieces. Just like the instructions said to do. Then I cut the turkey pepperoni into smaller pieces leaving about half of them the normal size. I just liked the look of different size pieces. Next, I put it all into a medium bowl. So I thought.

I ended up switching bowls to a large bowl. I tossed it all into the bowl the bowl and used my hands to mix it up. It was really kind of fun. So next you’re supposed to bake it about half an hour. I did a little longer to get the top crispy like we like our pizza. I kept checking the middle to make sure it was cooked.

When it was cooked through I put it on the top rack in the oven to crisp up the top a bit. Just personal taste I guess but I know we like our pizza a little crispy so
I thought why not. I took it out let it cool and dumped it out of the bunt cake then flipped it over. It really looked kind of pretty. It looked like I’d done much more work than I really did.

The best part? Hearing my kids laugh and pulling apart all the bread. You can have a dipping sauce on the side but we didn’t even need to do that we just dug in and it wasn’t long until it was all gone. It was really fun. I think it would be good too if we made a supreme and just put all the veggies and goodies we can think on the inside. If we try that I’ll update this post. For now, just now this is simple, fun and kid friendly… I think lol.
